KISONI FOUNDATION

Crosspoint International has recently partnered with the Kisoni Foundation in the Eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.  The war in this region is one of the deadliest conflicts the world has known since WWII.  In less than five years, an estimated 4 million people are thought to have been killed, the vast majority of these being innocent civilians. 

The region where the Kisoni Foundation works is characterized by extreme violence; mass population displacements, widespread rape and death leaving behind many widows and orphans.  This non-profit organization is committed to providing the much needed help and hope these victims so desperately long for.  It was established to honor the memory of Dr. Kambale Kisoni, a local businessman in the community who was brutally murdered during a robbery.  To see pictures, and to read more about how the Kisoni Foundation began and it's vision for the surrounding community, click HERE.
